In 1951, Sir Hugh Beaver, then the managing director of the Guinness Brewery, realised that a book supplying the answers to this sort of question might prove popular. He was right!
Civilization Revolutions is Released, the Latest Offering From Guinness World Record Holder Sid Meier
Sid Meier has brought his legendary Civilization franchise to console platforms for the first time, with the game releasing in the US on July 8, 2008. He also brings with him a long lineage of Guinness World Records. Mr. Meier currently holds the title as the Person With the Most Video Game Accolades. His many awards include an induction into the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, his Civilization titles being named game of the year, and his original Civilization being named the #1 game of all time.
The civilization series also holds the Guinness World Record for the Highest Rated Strategy Series. Civilization II scored an average of 94%, Civilization III scored an average of 90%, and Civilization IV scored an average of 94%. These figures are an average of the scores given by major videogame news magazines and websites.
